[SLOW LIGHT | FAST LIGHT]

iLo, the Dutch institute of Lighting Design in cooperation with ‘The Lux Lab’ presents a group submission with 7 installations to activate the awareness of quality and reflection of lighting. Take a breath in the ‘Light Freshener’ or manipulate your own ‘Clair and Obscure’. Experience the carousel of ‘Light as a Draftsman’ or picture your personality in ‘Kiekbox’. The submission focuses on how light affects you and your perception of light, providing a personal and active experience for each visitor!
Public evening-talks
Light has a big impact on human wellbeing in any environment, both at conscious and subconscious level. [SLOW LIGHT | FAST LIGHT] aims to broaden the discussion about quality of light and our physical and emotional experience with light. We aim to introduce a ‘slow light movement’ in the approach of lighting design.

Lightdesigners will present and discuss their visions of [SLOW LIGHT | FAST LIGHT] with the audience.

The exhibition hall the AusstellungsHalle Schulstraße 1a is located close to the Frankfurt museum embankment, in the backyard of a Fachwerkhauses in one of the oldest streets of Sachsenhausens.Itis used for exhibitions and other cultural events.

Luminale
Luminale is the evening programme for visitors to Light & Building Trade Fair, every two years for the last ten years. With 140.000 visitors at the last Luminale in 2010, it now holds an established international place as the Lighting Culture Biennale.
Luminale is the platform in Frankfurt for ideas and innovations. It brings together everyone from manufacturers to designers and artists. The Luminale is a lighting-laboratory open to the public. Luminale 2012 takes place from 15-20 April.
